The Long Good FridayThe Long Good Friday with Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan playing an IRA hitman in his first movie appearance. Hoskins is brilliant as a London East End gangster trying to go legit. It's chock full of memorable dialogue mostly from his Cockney underlings. My favorite is when Hoskins is entertaining a big American Mafia on his private boat.
Underling 1 looking at the French chef doing the caterng:
"E's a right ol' ponce"
Underling 2
"Well, he's French i'n he"
