A distant second in the race for 'Idiot' was Sen. Scott Brown, the new Senator from Massachusetts. In the final days before his election Wall Street gave $200,000 to his campaign, about half his take in that stretch.

He obviously intends to pay them back in kind.

Today he cam out against the Finance Reform bill. It was his reply to the reporter questioning him that put him in the running.

When asked what areas he thought should be fixed, he replied: “Well, what areas do you think should be fixed? I mean, you know, tell me. And then I’ll get a team and go fix it.”

Good effort Scott, but Idiot of the day's demands far more than mere stupidity.
