A useful graph of debt as a percentage of GDP. Since the end of World War II the percentage of debt has risen during 5 presidential terms. All of them were Republicans. Since Nixon/Ford every GOP President has overseen a rise in the percentage while every Democratic term has seen the percentage drop.
Republicans - all talk when it comes to debt reduction but complete failure when it comes to action.
