The Virginia governor, Bob "Remember the Confederacy" McDonnell recently signed a bill that would allow people licensed to carry a concealed weapon to take them into places that serve alcohol with the proviso that the permit holder can't drink.
The gun lobby in Virginia has objected because only law enforcement officers can carry a concealed weapon and drink. Their argument is that this law discriminates against others who have a permit to carry a concealed weapon can't drink. Their solution - any permit holder can drink as long as they don't get drunk.
I can see how well that will work out. An argument fueled by a couple of drinks will turn into Shootout at the OK Corral.
