But you wouldn't know if you worked at the Upper Big Branch mine where 29 coal miners recently died. You would think they might show a little kindness and humanity in the wake of the disaster but no.
They wouldn't allow the miners who survived time off work to attend their friends' funerals nor would they allow the miners to set up a makeshift memorial at the entrance to the mine.
The rumor that the mine is about to start employing children as young as 8, has however, proved to be unfounded.
