If you don’t have an oil well get one

We’re learning more about the Young Eagle Republicans who were the ones on the jaunt to the lesbian dominatrix strip club in Los Angeles. They are a fine bunch. One of them is J. Roby Penn IV a 29 year old heir to an oil fortune who lives in Washington and is also the Mid-Atlantic head of the Young Eagles.

Facebook often reveals a lot about a person. On J. Roby’s page we learn a lot about him. We learn “"My ancestors, actually, weren't on the Mayflower. They sent the servants over first to get the cottage ready"? He does have his values though, He believes in a purpose driven life as long as that life involves tennis and backgammon. How 1980’s can you get.

His best piece of advice is “if you don’t have an oil well get one”. I tried to follow his advice and looked around for one. Nothing on Craig’s List or Ebay. I tried the 99 Cent store and no luck there either. I think I’ll try becoming his friend on Facebook and maybe he will advise me on how to go about it or he might even give me one of his wells.

People like him make me wish the Estate Tax is 100%. Let him figure out how to make a living. There is hope for the Republicans though. He claims people like him are bringing “sexy back into the GOP.” Maybe he was at the strip club looking for pointers. It doesn’t take much to see that the GOP could definitely use some “sexy” unless you already think Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann provide more “sexy” than any political party needs.
