WTF!!

Pope Benedict XVI has stepped right into a huge turd in his precious little Gucci pumps, and if not for the fact that he is the Pope, he would probably be sharpening his resume looking for work far away from young boys.

The culpability for protecting abusive priests has come home to roost uncomfortably close to his Holiness. As with most entrenched hierarchy’s the Vatican is spinning as fast as they can and blaming everyone but themselves.

A senior Vatican priest speaking at a Good Friday service compared the uproar over sexual abuse scandals in the Catholic Church’s oversight to the persecution of the Jews because what the Jews went through is almost as bad as what’s happening to the current Vatican hierarchy. Other than torture, burning people at the stake, and the death of untold thousands of suspected Jewish and Muslim apostates I can see no difference between the Inquisition and current outrage at the Catholic Church.

An interesting side story is that the Spanish Inquisition used waterboarding to force false confessions of herecy. When you broke under the torture and admitted heresy you were executed. If not, you would die a gruesome death by torture. It’s wha we call a “lose – lose situation” today.
