GM set for the biggest IPO in history

The federal bailout of GM saved an estimated 1 million jobs when you add in their many parts suppliers, dealers and the businesses in the communities where GM or its suppliers have operations. The right are still railing against it, calling GM Government Motors. Consider the negative consequences had GM closed its doors. 1 million less people paying taxes and instead receiving unemployment checks from the government. That unemployement would have cost over $1 billion a month alone. That would also be 1 million people and their families abruptly cutting their spending, except for the vital necessities hurting all businesses in their communities. It would have meant a lot more foreclosures which is the last thing we need right now.
