Haley Barbour, the Governor of Mississippi as well as the Chairman of the GOP Governors Association is one of the more powerful Republicans around.
Medicaid provides health care insurance for the poor and for people on disability who are under 65. The recession has caused enrollment to increase 8.5% in fiscal 2010 which for the Federal government ends at the end of the third quarter.
"Rationing health care", isn't that what all the bullshit about 'death panels' was all about. I guess it's not a 'death panel' if it's about the poor and the disabled, it only matters when when it's about deal old grandma.
Barbour is all for it before he was against it. He's probably in favor of privatising it which would make it cost even more but that wouldn't bother Republicans as long as it benefits private health insurance companies.
