None dare call it sabotage

Mitch McConnell, the GOP leader in the Senate said their number one goal is ensure Obama is a one term president. Rush Limbaugh has repeatedly said that he hopes Obama fails and is not apologetic about it. Put simply, if the economy recovers in the next two years Obama will win re-election in 2012. If it doesn't, he will more than likely lose unless Sarah Palin somehow manages to win the GOP Primary.

Plain and simple, it's in their interests to see the economy oontinue to flounder. The interests of the American people have been subsumed by a strategy of beat Obama at all costs no matter what the collateral damage.

You might start with rejecting the advice of economists and oppose any kind of stimulus investments. You'd also want to cut spending and take money out of the economy, while blocking funds to states and municipalities, forcing them to lay off more workers. You'd no doubt want to cut off stimulative unemployment benefits, and identify the single most effective jobs program of the last two years (the TANF Emergency Fund) so you could kill it.

What's worse is the so called 'liberal' media and the Democrats don't call them on it. I know it's not easy because they do claim to have a 'plan' but we haven't seen any evidence of it other than more tax cuts for millionaires and more spending cuts, which for all their wishful thinking have never proved to work.
