Bear in mind, Newt is almost as bad as Donald Trump when it comes to threatened runs for president. He talks up the possibility every four years for the ego and/or money boost. He just never follows through. But now he apparently is. And this time, not only is he running, but he's already chosen his vice presidential running mate: God.
TPM explains why Gingrich can never be a real candidate in the sense that they poll more than one or two percent at best. The infidelity is the killer as the piece says but he epitomizes the sleaze and ideological purity that beset the GOP in the Clinton and Buuh years.
