Jet Harris, bass guitarist of The Shadows, the English version of the Ventures and the original backing band for Cliff Richard. my first rock and roll hero, before he found religion. As a you kid I saw them a few times in South Africa before the music boycott isolated the country from music. I supported the boycott, although as a huge music fan I also suffered.
FERLIN HUSKY
Ferlin Husky had a voice that was perfect for country. Although not as well known as some of his contemporaries he sold millions of records and helped popularize country on TV to widen it's appeal.
