Her body of work never quite matched her fame despite Cleopatra but she epitomized the glamor of Hollywood. She collected husbands along the way with her marriage to Richard Burton being one of the ultimate Hollywood marriages though neither were American.
For me it all fell apart when she married Sen. John Warner and John Belushi did his infamous skit of Taylor chowing down on some Southern Fried chicken, choking on a chicken bone in the process. After that, I could never look at her without seeing Belushi chocking on that bone.
