A few weeks ago he made the headlines for suggesting only property owners should have the vote because they are the only ones who have a real stake in the community. That requirement was done away with in 1850 but Phillips would rather turn the clock back over 160 years.
He's back in the headlines, this time railing against the Methodist Church that he calls, 'The first church of Karl Marx' because they support the DREAM Act that would allow children who grew up in the U.S. to become citizens.
A blog post on his Tea Party Nation page says that on Friday he walked by the United Methodist Building in Washington D.C., which had a sign that said, "Pass the DREAM Act." Phillips wrote: " I have a DREAM. That is, no more United Methodist Church."
In Phillips world, a church should only cater to rich, preferably white property owners. He added, "In short, if you hate America, you have a great future in the Methodist church,"
Does he even read the Bible. It sounds like he doesn't.
