One of the more absurd right wing tomes to come out of the fertile book writing world where any right wing pundit is guaranteed success, was Jonah Goldberg's ridiculous drivel called 'Liberal Fascism'. He managed to connect liberals to Nazism and Stalinism with tenuous logic and outright lies and misquotes.
A classic was one from the New York Times allegedly praising Mussolini. Problem is the quote in the Times was itself a quote of a writer praising Mussolini and not written by the Times or it's reporter.
This slight misstatement of the facts did nothing to deter Glenn Beck who repeated the claim without obvisously bothering to check. Reporters are fired for less but then Beck is in no way a reporter.
