Jobs, the deficit, health care, national security, immigration and anything else that might concern the average U.S. citizen will have to take a back seat for the next two years.
Mitch McConnell, the minority speaker of the Senate said,
"The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."
As if a Sarah Palin or some other Republican president will suddenly make all our problems disappear. In the meantime the mainstream Washington press will continue to tut-tut about the lack of bipartisanship in the capital. The Republicans have made it abundantly clear. There will be no bi=partisanship. There will be investigations and all out war while the country stagnates.
