America slips to 49th in life expectancy

The United States currently ranks 49th in the world in overall life expectancy, according to a study published in the academic journal Health Affairs, slipping dramatically during the last decade. A decade ago the U.S. was ranked 24th.

We're still far and away #1 in health care costs more than double any other country. The U.S. is also the only industrialized country in the world that doesn't have universal health care. The report goes on to describe the health system in America as "uniquely inefficient."

At this rate countries like Albania, Kuwait, Cuba, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Panama will overtake us in the next 5 years.

Those who want to repeal Health Care Reform still think we have the best healthcare system in the world.
