Now it's an "ongoing pogrom" - WTF is wrong with these people

The right wing Moonie rag, The Washington Times, not to be confused with the Washington Post doubles down on offensive imagery. Sarah Palin has rightly been castigated forv her use of the phrase 'blood libel' a smear used against Jews for centuries alleging they used Christian children's blood for their religious ceremonies. The Times described this criticism as an 'ongoing pogrom' against conservatives. Here is Wikipedia's description of a 'pogrom'

A pogrom (Russian: погром) is a form of violent riot, a mob attack, either approved or condoned by government or military authorities, directed against a particular group, whether ethnic, religious, or other, and characterized by killings and destruction of their homes and properties, businesses, and religious centres.

My forefathers were victims of pogroms in Lithuania. One of my great aunts was allowed to attend university in Russia. There was one condition. She had to wear av yellow star of David to identify that she was Jewish.

In the unlikely event that bands of East and West Coast liberal go rampaging through conservative towns where 'real Americans' live is the word 'pogrom' applicable.

How long before some idiot refers to the conservative holocaust.
